Preterm is defined as infants born at or before 37 weeks of pregnancy. Infants who are born prematurely weigh much less than term infants, this is because a significant amount of baby’s weight gain occurs between 36 and 40 weeks of pregnancy.

SMA Gold Prem® 2 Ready to Drink Formula
200 ml Bottle
Ready to use liquids do not require any preparation, just shake and pour into a sterilised feeding bottle. Easy to pour and 200ml bottle can be kept in the fridge for up to 24 hours after opening if baby hasn’t fed directly from the 200ml bottle and that the milk has been decanted into a sterilised feeding bottle. Strictly follow hospital procedures.

Ready to use liquids do not require any preparation, just shake the bottle and screw the SMA® NUK® orthodontic pre-sterilised teat on to the bottle. After use, discard bottle, teat and remaining contents. Strictly follow hospital procedures.

SMA Gold Prem® 2 is a special catch-up formula intended for the dietary management of preterm low birthweight babies who are not solely fed breast milk. It is a nutritionally complete formula for use on discharge from hospital or when a low birthweight formula is no longer appropriate. It is suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition up to 6 months corrected age. SMA Gold Prem® 2 is not intended for use with newborn preterm babies, for whom fortified breast milk or a low birthweight formula such as SMA Gold Prem® 1 is more appropriate.
